Real Estate Trainer
We are seeking a skilled Real Estate Trainer to join our team and deliver high-impact training programs for real estate agents, brokers, and support staff. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and deliver engaging, results-driven learning experiences across sales, listing, compliance, technology, and professional development topics. This is a hands-on role requiring deep industry knowledge, strong instructional design skills, and the ability to measure training effectiveness using key performance metrics.
Real Estate Trainer — Responsibilities and Core Duties
- Develop and deliver instructor-led and virtual training sessions for agents, brokers, and administrative staff on topics including sales techniques, listing presentations, buyer consultations, contract basics, fair housing, industry regulations, and brokerage technology platforms.
- Create curriculum and training materials (presentations, workbooks, e-learning modules, videos, assessments) that align with adult learning principles and competency-based outcomes.
- Conduct needs analyses and collaborate with leadership to identify skill gaps and prioritize training initiatives that improve agent performance and retention.
- Facilitate onboarding programs for new agents and continuous professional development tracks for tenured agents, focusing on productivity, compliance, and client experience.
- Coach and mentor agents through role-plays, ride-alongs, shadowing, and in-field coaching to reinforce classroom learning and support real-world application.
- Measure training effectiveness using KPIs such as conversion rates, listing-to-sale ratios, time-to-competency, productivity improvements, and participant satisfaction scores; prepare regular training impact reports.
- Partner with marketing, recruiting, and operations teams to align training content with business goals, product launches, and market changes.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local and national real estate laws, MLS rules, disclosure requirements, and best practices; ensure training materials remain compliant and current.
- Manage logistics for training events, including scheduling, technology setup, LMS administration, and vendor coordination.
Required Qualifications — Real Estate Training Specialist
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, Real Estate, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in real estate sales, brokerage management, or training and development within the real estate industry.
- Proven instructional design experience and ability to develop engaging adult-learning content for both virtual and in-person delivery.
- Strong public speaking and presentation skills; comfortable delivering training to groups of varying sizes and experience levels.
- Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS), virtual classroom tools (Zoom, Teams, etc.), and e-learning authoring tools (Articulate, Captivate, etc.).
- Excellent coaching, communication, and interpersonal skills; able to influence and motivate licensed professionals.
- Analytical skills to track training outcomes and use data to iterate on programs and measure ROI.
- Valid real estate license (preferred) and deep working knowledge of MLS platforms, transaction management, CRM systems, and compliance requirements.
Preferred Skills — Real Estate Training and Coaching
- Experience designing competency frameworks, certification programs, or career-path curricula for agents.
- Sales coaching background with measurable performance improvements among coached agents.
- Experience with adult-learning best practices, microlearning, blended learning strategies, and performance support tools.
- Ability to travel locally for in-person workshops, brokerage visits, and field coaching as needed.
