Skills Group is looking for a Plumbing, Gasfitting & Drainlaying Tutor to join our Dunedin Trades Training campus in a permanent, full-time role.

Working with our Pre-Trade learners, you'll deliver engaging practical and theory-based training, helping students develop the foundational skills, knowledge and confidence they need as they prepare to enter the industry.

What you'll be doing:

• Deliver engaging Pre-Trade practical and theory-based training across plumbing, gasfitting and drainlaying.

• Create a positive and effective learning environment that supports learner engagement and achievement.

• Use appropriate teaching techniques, equipment and resources to deliver clear learning outcomes.

• Monitor learner progress through assessment, feedback and ongoing support.

• Build positive relationships with learners, colleagues and other key stakeholders.

• Ensure all training is delivered safely and in line with relevant Health & Safety requirements.

What we're looking for:

• Certified in Plumbing, Gasfitting and/or Drainlaying.

• Unit Standards 4098 and 11551, or willingness to obtain these with Skills Group's support as part of your professional development.

• Adult Education Level 4 or Level 5, or willingness to work towards this with support provided.

• Strong practical industry knowledge and experience within your trade.

• Great communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage and support a range of learners.

• A genuine passion for sharing your knowledge and helping people develop the skills they need to succeed.
